Serious Q for Mr Raduga

Postby phaseme » Mon Sep 16, 2013 6:55 pm

And anyone else who might have some input.

A sibling of mine has had psychosis and skitzophrenia for 8 years. He has now recently opened up that he hears voices telling him religious stuff or random requests like go running etc... Typical of mental illness. He now tells me he has seen angels on side walks, and was even taken to space to see Saturn right before his eyes. He interprets it as religious... I now see another possibility.

Could it be these are spontaneous outbreaks of the phase that he cannot control? Could it be that he interprets the phase as religious and because of this, he is seeing religious things? Just like the UFO experiment wheres subjects found aliens because of the the belief and desire to find them, could this be the same?

Please answer my Q seriously, I think this is an interesting take on psychosis. An uncontrollable phase experience or just a mental illness? Perhaps the mental illness is an incorrect interpretation of a phase experience, thus leading to psychosis?

All answers are appreciated in particular Mr Raduga. Also if correct, what treatments do u think are possible (perhaps a viewing of the documentary! Lol)?

Although nobody has replied yet (unfortunately) i have an update.

Talking more to my sibling about his experiences, it turns out that many of his experiences with the paranormal (alien encounters, a trip to hell, angels in the scenery, a visit to saturn) were all close to the sleeping or waking state. This is phenomenal.. could this be phase experiences that people with mental illness are encountering? Although it can be hard to tell since patients with psychosis or schizophrenia can be compulsive liars, but I can tell that I am being told the truth. I showed my sibling the phase documentary and throughout, he kept saying "this is exactly what happened to me, this is incredible". He still interprets the experiences as religious however, and still hears voices in his head. I wonder if these voices are the phase state creeping into his waking state...

Perhaps we are on the edge of new research regarding mental illness. I would still like to hear from phase practitioners opinions, in particular Mr Raduga.

Me, too. His religious view is just an interpretation which involves confirmation bias and delusion. It couldn't be any further from the truth. It is happening in his mind and his beliefs add fuel to the fire. His experiences are completely subjective and somewhat similar to the phase state if not a disorderly variant of it.

Bingo! More than likely. The brain is extremely complex and the mind has the power to trick us. Raduga used to think aliens were abducting him until he discovered the phase state. I once watched Steven Spielberg's "Taken" with my wife before going to bed. In the middle of the night I woke up paralysed and apparently floated out of my body. I passed through the bedroom window like a ghost, and, outside, an enormous flying saucer pulled me up. I knew I was in the phase but I still experienced fear because it seemed extremely real and there was a niggling doubt in my head: "What if I'm really being abducted by aliens?"

Once inside the spaceship, what do you know, the aliens looked identical to the ones in "Taken." Hmmm...
It had such an impact on me that I had to draw the experience:

The prospect of using the phase as a form of therapy for psychosis is still in its infancy, more research needs to be done, in my opinion, and patients would have to be supervised along with prescribed, conventional treatment. One can always argue that the phase state might not be so good for those who have trouble discerning reality. There are also many degrees and types of psychosis besides the fact that patients respond differently to an array of treatments. This area is full of shades of grey and the question of treatments is not one that can be answered easily.

I don't think mental illness is necessarily an incorrect interpretation of the phase that can potentially aggravate matters. Sometimes the cerebral malady, or whatever chemical imbalance they may have, means that they are just incapable of accepting that what they perceive isn't really happening or that it's hallucinatory. In fact, even if memories of waking life are retained, the delusion may be powerful enough to override logic. What I'm saying here is that the problem may lie at the roots and those neural connections that would be necessary to properly assess his own experiences may not be as active as they should be.

How much of his reality is being distorted? How do his emotional brain regions connect with the visual centres of the brain? What is really going on there subjectively that the brain may or may not reflect as far as we can tell. We simply don't know. Even a sane, healthy person can experience an irrational fear as the amygdala becomes extremely active and once the body secretes adrenaline, there is no escape from the fight-or-flight response. Now imagine what may be going on with your sibling's neurotransmitters. His current make-up may be impeding him from having our degree of assessment.

His mental faculties may be impaired and distorted at the same time when he has his episodes and this is where they may differ from the optimal phase experience that we all love and safely enjoy.

Thank you for your excellent response Summerlander, your take on the matter is very informative for me.

After continuing discussion with my sibling, he gave me an example where he was watching the popular "made in chelsea" program here in the UK, and then later that night, one of the actors (female) appeared in his room and he would feel her kisses and touching sensations on his body as he went about his daily chores. After he told me this, It seemed clear that just like you summerlander, his current thoughts entered his phase state. Where as you experienced alien abduction after watching that movie, my sibling encountered a sexual encounter with a celebrity.

You are correct in stating that its way to early in conducting experiments with the phase state on my sibling for therapeutic reasons - although i think it could definitely help. The only thing I am trying to do right now is get him to understand that this is actually a scientific and totally explainable experience. Once he accepts this (which is difficult when dealing with a mental patient as their reality is distorted and they are v stubborn) he can begin entering it to explore the true reality of the phenomena that drove him insane - otherwise it will continue to be religious and may drive him to become worse then he already is. One thing that continues to puzzle me is the voices in his head. Im not sure if this is the phase creeping in his waking state or just neurological damage - a possible split personality due to trauma of some sort. I allude to it being the phase because i understand that "listening in" is a technique to enter the state.

As for me, I have still not entered the phase. Mainly because I work 6 days a week, and I am often too tired when I wake up to try and aggressively cycle techniques. Sometimes I try, then I look at the time and realise I have to get up. On my day off, i am always trying to catch up on sleep. Not a good lifestyle I know, but any tips on overcoming the sleepiness would be appreciated. I too would like to encounter a female celebrity ;)

Ps: the picture is amazing summerlander... even though its a phase experience, I can only imagine how scary that must have been. It looks so vivid and must have felt so real. Ill try to watch porn before I sleep instead of an alien flick (lol :P)

There is an italian professor Corrado Malanga that studied for long time this issue, lots of people have this problem and he was able to solving it for them.
It is very long to go through what he discovered but just to make it easy and simple there are entities that can enter your body and live in it with you, in order to solve the problem you must be willing to send them out very strongly, then there are techniques you can use to do so.
If you understand italian you'll find plenty of stuff on youtube and more, but I'm not sure if he wrote anything in english even if knows it very well.
Good luck
